How to Service and Repair an A/C Clutch on a V7 Direct Mount on 2001 Chevrolet Camaro?

Service and repair of the A/C Compressor clutch on v7 direct mount begins by taking the A/C Compressor out of the vehicle. Position the A/C Compressor holding fixture (J 41790) in a vise then secure the A/C Compressor to it. Begin procedure by removing the clutch plate and hub assembly afterward use external snap ring pliers to expose the clutch rotor and bearing assembly retaining ring . The puller pilot (J 33023-A) should be positioned onto the clutch rotor prior to installing the A/C Compressor pulley puller (J 41552) into the rotor's inner slot circle. Using the A/C Compressor pulley puller (J 41552) you should turn its clockwise position in the slot's alignment to attach the rotor tangs. Apply the puller pilot onto the bearing assembly (J 33023-A) and secure it with the A/C Compressor pulley puller (J 41552) as you turn the center forcing screw to extract the clutch rotor and bearing assembly.
