In order to replace the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor, disconnect the negative Battery Cable, as well as lift the vehicle up on a hoist. Take off the crankshaft Harmonic Balancer and Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) shield without applying pressure with a pry bar.
