How to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2001 Chevrolet Corvette?

A replacement on the camshaft position (CMP) sensor should begin with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by removing the Intake Manifold. Clean the surroundings of the cmp and remove the cmp sensor electrical connector to prevent foreign matter from getting into the engine. Unfasten the cmp retaining bolt to remove its sensor from place. Install the cmp sensor by placing it in its original position then screwing the retaining bolt at 25 n.m (18 lb ft) torque range. After cleaning the cmp sensor area the technician installs the Intake Manifold followed by negative Battery Cable reconnection. Complete the idle learn procedure while also programming required transmitters to finish the process.
