In order to replace the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor, start by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable and lifting the vehicle. Unscrew the Starter and disconnect the ckp sensor electrical connector and make sure the area around the ckp is cleaned to avoid debris from getting inside the engine. Next, take off the ckp sensor retaining bolt and then ckp sensor. For the installation, start the installation by installing the ckp sensor and fasten it with the retention bolt and tighten to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Reconnect the ckp sensor connection, replace the Starter, lower the car, and reconnect the negative Battery Cable. Lastly, carry out the idle learn procedure, program transmitters, and run the ckp system variation learn procedure.
