To replace the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) bank 2 sensor 1, the vehicle needs to be lifted, and the ho2s electrical connector should be disconnected. In a cautious manner, back out the heated Oxygen Sensor and, be aware that it might be too sticky to come out if the engine temperature is below 48°c (120°F), because it may damage the threads on the Exhaust Manifold or Exhaust Pipe. For installation use a treatment for the threads of the heated Oxygen Sensor, with compound anti-seize p/n 5613695 or similar, because it is a convenient compound, consisting of graphite, suspended in fluid and glass beads that can make removal easier in the future. Lower the Oxygen Sensor into its position and tighten it slightly with a torque wrench securing it to 41n.m (30 lb ft); then reconnect the ho 2s electrical connector and lower the car.
