How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1 on 2002 Chevrolet Corvette?

Replacing the Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1 begins with raising the vehicle. After unplugging the HO2S electrical connector carefully remove the heated oxygen sensor. Special anti-seize compound known as P/N 5613695 must be installed on the sensor threads because this compound consists of graphite dispersed in fluid and glass beads. These glass beads create easy removal pathways when the graphite burns away. After the graphite burns off the glass beads remain to simplify future removal operations. The installation of the same sensor requires application of anti-seize compound over its threads. Apply anti-seize compound to heated oxygen sensor threads before mounting the sensor properly while tightening it to 41 N.m (30 lb ft). Reconnect the HO2S electrical connector and return the vehicle to the floor.
