How to replace the right muffler on 2001 Chevrolet Corvette?

Safety precautions for hot exhaust systems and exhaust parts must be followed before starting right muffler replacement. Start by taking off the bolts and nuts that hold the rear stabilizer shaft bracket followed by removal of the rear stabilizer shaft brackets and insulators. Position the stabilizer shaft downward before you remove the left exhaust muffler bolts with their gasket and exhaust muffler gasket. Empty the muffler blade from its hanger before taking out the right muffler. Start by installing the left muffler before sliding the muffler blade into the hanger position. Replace the exhaust muffler gasket with a new one then secure the left side exhaust muffler bolts with a torque of 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.). Position the rear stabilizer shaft upward while installing its insulator brackets before tightening the bracket bolts to 65 Nm (49 ft. lbs.) and nuts to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.). Secure the left muffler bolts until they reach 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).
