• Q: How to replace the windshield washer pump and reservoir on 2001 Chevrolet Corvette?

  A: Disconnect all washer solvent reservoir fasteners from the frame rail stud to access the pump replacement. Take out the washer solvent reservoir from its wheelhouse position and unplug the fluid sensor electrical socket followed by the hose and connector connections to the Washer Pump. Empty the washer solvent from the storage compartment. Take out the Washer Pump and seal as well as the fluid level sensor from their holder in the reservoir. Begin by inserting the fluid level sensor into the washer solvent reservoir and place the Washer Pump and seal after. First plug in the Washer Pump electrical cables to fluid level sensor then final wire harness connection to Washer Pump. Install the washer solvent reservoir over the frame rail studs and wheelhouse then fix the hose retention clamp onto the frame rail stud. Fit the washer solvent reservoir and thread the attachment nuts to 7.5 n.m measurements (66 lb in). Afterwards fill the washer solvent reservoir with washer solvent.
