  A: Open the hood when beginning the replacement of the hood primary and secondary latch. First remove the upper radiator air baffle followed by the front upper fascia support bracket. Apply a grease pencil mark to indicate the Hood Latch position on the center support bracket. Afterward, remove the Hood Latch securing bolts while protecting the hood release cable from damage. The hood release cable can be detached from the Hood Latch by pressing on the cable retainer for disassembly of the Hood Latch from the vehicle. The hood release cable should be connected to the Hood Latch before aligning its position with the center support bracket marks for assembly. Secure the Hood Latch installation by screwing the center support bolts at 10 n.m (89 lb in). The front upper fascia support bracket and upper radiator air baffle should be reinstalled before adjusting the hood position before closing it.
