How to replace the rear wheel speed sensor on 2001 Chevrolet Tracker?

Raise and support the vehicle before you can replace the rear wheel speed sensor. Unplug the rear wheel speed sensor electrical wires then unscrew and remove all bolts to take out the sensor. Look at the sensor face to check for metal grains, dust, grease or other dirt buildup and clean it if needed. Examine the sensor face for damage before putting the new part in place and never let the damaged surface touch the toothed sensor ring. Also examine the axle bearing to check its lifespan. Push the new rear wheel speed sensor assembly into the axle housing by hand to prevent breaking it. Use silicone grease P/N 12345579 as the anti-corrosion coating before you install the new sensor. Arrange the wheel speed sensor bolt into position and tighten it to 7.8 Nm (6.3 inch lbs.). Run the Diagnostic System Test for ABS as your final step.
