How to replace the Power Steering Hose Return Line on 2001 Chevrolet Venture?

You should begin replacement of the p/s return line by supporting and raising the vehicle. A drain pan must be positioned under the vehicle while you access the right side engine splash shield to drain power steering fluid. Lower the vehicle after detaching the power steering gear cooler pipe from the return hose. Unfasten the Drive Belt before addressing the inlet hose from the Power Steering Pump while removing its hose retainer to finish with the inlet hose removal. Install the inlet hose first by affixing it both to the hose retainer and the Power Steering Pump. You should raise and support the vehicle before hand and then mount the inlet hose onto the power steering gear cooler pipe before replacing the right side engine splash shield. First lower the vehicle then reinstall the Drive Belt followed by a fluid refill for the power steering reservoir and power steering system bleeding.
