How to service and repair the wiper arm on 2002 Buick Century?

Start Wiper Arm service and repair operations by acquiring the Wiper Arm puller (J 39822) as your essential tool. Set the ignition to on position then select delay mode on the Wiper Switch. When the wiper arms reach their lowest point in the wipe pattern you should turn off the ignition. Use a Wiper Arm puller (J 39822) to disconnect the washer hose before removing the Wiper Arm nut cover and Wiper Arm nut. Use the Wiper Arm puller (J 39822) to disconnect the Wiper Arm from its wiper transmission position. Installation requires placing the wiper arms on the wiper transmission while right arm alignment must be within 97 - 107 mm (3.82 - 4.21 in) from arm end to air inlet screen and left arm at 125 - 147 mm (4.92 - 5.78 in) from wiper blade tip to air inlet screen. Screw the Wiper Arm nut to a torque of 30 n.m (22 lb ft) after which place the Wiper Arm nut cover on top. The washer hose connecting to the Wiper Arm must be reattached then wiper operations should be tested while checking for correct functionality.
