The repair process begins with removing the ip compartment and breaking the electrical connection from the air temperature actuator assembly before removing its retaining screws and air temperature actuator assembly . First you must disconnect the retaining screws which stabilize the air temperature actuator assembly before you can remove it. During installation you should secure the air temperature actuator assembly to the hvac module but you must adhere to all points in the fastener notice in service precautions document. Fasten the air temperature actuator assembly with retaining screws that require a torque of 1.4 n.m (12 lb in). After reconnecting the electrical connector to the air temperature actuator assembly install the ip storage compartment while performing actuator calibration according to the Body Control Module (BCM) programming/rpo configuration (DIM), (IPM) or (RIM) found in the body control system.
