How to Replace an A/C Hose in the Evaporator Hose Assembly on 2002 Cadillac DeVille?

Commence Evaporator hose assembly replacement by recovering refrigerant from the system with a halogen leak detector (J 39400-A). Start by detaching the Evaporator hose assembly from its connections at the accumulator and snap clamp followed by the right lower frame rail hold down. Remove the Evaporator hose nut first and then disconnect the low temperature sensor electrical connector. The installer should disconnect the Evaporator hose assembly from the Evaporator core followed by removing the upper filler panel. Next, disconnect the Evaporator hose assembly from the condenser by removing its retaining nut. To install the Evaporator hose assembly first bond it to the condenser then install the nut and tighten it to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Use a torque tool to secure the Evaporator hose assembly nut at 24 n.m (18 lb ft) while it connects to the Evaporator core. Use the accumulator nut to join the accumulo r hose assembly together while tightening the nut to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Feed the Evaporator hose assembly into the accumulator snap clamp then attach it to the right lower frame rail hold down. Reconnect the low temperature sensor electrical connector after you recharge the a/c system and use the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) for leak testing on fittings where repairs or replacements were made. Complete the final step by installing the upper filler panel.
