How to Replace an A/C Hose for Discharge Hose on 2001 Cadillac DeVille?

One must recover refrigerant from the system before beginning replacement of the a/c discharge hose. Cut off the discharge hose from the condenser after removing its filler panel and fastener. Support the vehicle by raising it then remove the front air deflector from under it. Disconnect the A/C Compressor discharge hose fastener along with separating the electrical connector from the a/c refrigerant pressure sensor. The compressor discharge hose requires removal while the discharge hose should also exit the unit. The inspection of sealing washers includes replacement of damaged items since they do not require lubrication. Mount the discharge hose to the compressor before tightening its fastener to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Connect the electrical connection to the a/c refrigerant pressure sensor then lower the vehicle before hooking the discharge hose to the condenser while tightening the limit to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). The system must get recharged after conducting a leak test on all fittings that were repaired or maintained through the halogen leak detector (J 39400). End the procedure by installing the front air deflector together with the upper filler panel.
