  A: When replacing the front Brake Caliper Bracket without j55 you need to prop up the brake caliper to secure it using heavy mechanic's wire after detaching it from the mounting bracket so the hydraulic brake hose stays intact. Unloc k brake pads from the Brake Caliper Bracket first and then take off its retaining clips , bolts , and finally the bracket . Clean all corrosion and debris from the Brake Caliper Bracket then check it for damage and replace it if findings show any cracks. Before installation clean the threaded ends of both Brake Caliper Bracket bolts and threaded holes using denatured alcohol or an equivalent followed by drying. Put threadlocker gm us p/n 12345493 or an equivalent on two-thirds of the bolt length on lower caliper bracket bolts. Leave enough space for this product to cure in ten minutes. Secure the Brake Caliper Bracket onto the Steering Knuckle and fasten the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts tightly to 185 nm (137 ft. Lbs.). Put a thin layer of niglube to brake caliper pin bolts first then attach Brake Pad holders and brake pads onto the Brake Caliper Bracket and lastly place the brake caliper.
