How to replace the rear brake line on 2002 Cadillac Seville?

Start brake hose replacement work by properly supporting and lifting the vehicle before taking out the tire and wheel set. Before installing the rubber cap use a clean cloth to remove dirt from brake hose and brake pipe connections. Unlock the brake hose retainer with a flat-bladed tool and seperate the brake pipe fitting from the brake hose. Take out the brake hose from its bracket and caliper before discarding the two brake hose gaskets that may be attached to those parts. Position the rubber plug into the brake hose bolt hole of the caliper to hold braking fluid inside the system. After removing the rubber plug put new copper brake hose gaskets between the brake hose bolt and brake caliper before tightening it to 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.). Position the brake hose correctly without any bends before connecting it to the bracket with the retainer placed back. Attach the brake pipe fitting to the brake hose while tightening it to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Afterward use the bleeder screw to bleed the brake caliper followed by replacing the tire and wheel components while lowering the vehicle.
