2002 Cadillac Seville Control Arm Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the rear lower control arm on 2002 Cadillac Seville?
A: To replace the rear lower Control Arm, make the following process: first remove the rear support, stabilize shaft link, and the nut retaining the lower Control Arm. Be of help by putting apart the adjustment link from lower Control Arm using the universal steering linkage puller (J24319-B), then be of service by taking out the bearing and hub that is on an arm; and as such carry out each of them in reverse, slip into another order, positioning that which comes last to be first and so on. Then, take out the lower control mounting bolts and nuts, then wrench the lower Control Arm itself. For installation, secure the lower Control Arm to the support, while controlling arm nuts are tight from the side of the vehicle and not supported, albeit resting at the normal height of the wheels. Mount the lower Control Arm mounting bolts/ nuts first, proceed with the Wheel Bearing/ hub. Mount the adjustment link onto the lower Control Arm, and fasten the adjustment link retaining nut, tighten to 75 nm (55 ft. Lbs.). Finally, the stabilizer shaft link should be installed, the rear support should be reattached, the vehicle should be lowered to reach trim height and the ltaxture nuts for the lower Control Arm mountings should be tightened to 106 nm (78 ft. Lbs.).
