How to Replace the A/C Hose in an HVAC System for Evaporator Tube on 2002 Chevrolet Impala?

The first step when replacing the evaporator tube becomes to recover all refrigerant from the system. The servicing process starts with air cleaner assembly removal followed by vacuum Brake Booster removal and finally by the evaporator tube/suction hose bracket uninstallation. The installation starts with opening the connection between the evaporator inlet tube nut and condenser tube and the evaporator inlet tube to condenser tube. The evaporator block fitting bolt should be removed from the evaporator outlet tube but handle the tube with precise care. Procedure for replacement of the evaporator inlet tube starts by disconnecting the tube from both the evaporator and discarding the o-ring. The o-ring seals on the evaporator tube require replacement prior to joining the evaporator inlet tube with the condenser tube which will then be installed onto the evaporator.
