How to replace the A/C Hose on 2003 Chevrolet Impala?

Start by depressing the refrigerant before removing the air cleaner assembly combined with the vacuum Brake Booster. Remove first the Evaporator tube from its support bracket before disassembling its nut from the condenser tube and taking off the tube. The Evaporator tube needs disconnection from the Evaporator after removing a/c line block fitting bolt from the Evaporator and discarding the o-ring. Reinstall the o-ring seals onto the Evaporator tube and accumulator tube before joining the Evaporator tube with both the condenser tube and Evaporator. The installation requires mounting of the accumulator tube to the Evaporator block fitting while tightening the Evaporator tube to condenser tube with 27 n.m torque (20 lb ft) and the a/c line block fitting bolt to 16 n.m torque (12 lb ft). After installing the condenser tube to the support bracket the technician should install the vacuum Brake Booster and air cleaner assembly. The last step involves evacuating and recharging the a/c system before utilizing the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) to conduct a fitting leak test.
