The procedure for installing the oil level indicator and its tube requires starting with Spark Plug wire removal from number 6 cylinder then following with oil level indicator and oil level indicator tube bracket bolt. Following the removal of the oil level indicator tube you will proceed with the next step. The technician should clean the oil level indicator tube and apply gm sealant p/n12345739 or its equivalent around its bead that measures 12.7 mm (0.50 inch) below. Thread the oil level indicator tube inside the engine block then fasten it using the bracket bolt by adhering to the fastener notice in service precautions. Use a torque wrench to tighten the oil level indicator tube bolt to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). After that, reinstall both the oil level indicator and connect the number 6 Spark Plug wire to the Spark Plug.
