How to replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) on 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

To replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) you need to disconnect the icm all the electrical connectors first and turn it off. Mark the location of the Spark Plug Wires for reassembly and connect the Spark Plug Wires out of the ignition coils. Remove the screws retaining the coil assemblies to the icm before disconnecting the coils from the icm and removing the icm from the module mounting bracket. For installation, lay down the icm over the module mounting bracket and mount the coils over icm (following the fastener notice in Service Precautions). Screw-thread the screws through the coils and the module, fixing them to the module mounting bracket, and tighten them with 4.5 n.m (40 lb in). Reconnect the Spark Plug Wires and then hook up the wire connectors that have been mentioned with the icm.
