• Q: How to replace the fuel injectors and fuel rail on 2003 Cadillac CTS?

  A: A Fuel Rail replacement along with fuel injectors requires you to drain system pressure and take away the intake plenum. You can detach the return hose/pipe and feed hose/pipe from the Fuel Rail through the use of metal collar components in the quick connect fitting(s) service. First remove the Fuel Rail brace bolt from the Intake Manifold while you should disconnect the Fuel Injector electrical connectors from each injector and unclip the harness from the Fuel Rail before setting it aside. The first step is to detach the Fuel Pressure Regulator atmospheric vent hose followed by using tools to remove the Fuel Rail bolts which fasten the rail to the Intake Manifold. Secure the atmospheric vent hose to the Fuel Pressure Regulator while connecting the electrical harness of the Fuel Injector to the Fuel Rail and finishing by attaching electrical connectors to each injector. Place the Fuel Rail brace bolt to the Intake Manifold then tighten it to 8 n.m (71 lb in) before connecting feed hose/pipe and return hose/pipe to the Fuel Rail through the use of quick connect fitting(s) service (Metal Collar) and finally placing the intake plenum.
