How to replace the Lash Adjusters on 2003 Chevrolet Malibu?

Replace the valve lifters by starting with lower Intake Manifold removal followed by rocker arms and pushrods removal while holding valve lifters in their original positions until reinstall. After removing the valve lifter guide bolts you can remove the valve lifter guide followed by the actual valve lifter. Put the lifters into their original positions then coat each one with gm p/n 1052365 or an equivalent product. You must now install the valve lifter guide before securing it through the valve lifter guide bolts that require 10 nm (89 inch lbs) torque. To finish the repair mount the lower Intake Manifold after installing the pushrods and rocker arms.
