How to replace the Return Power Steering Hose on 2004 Buick LeSabre?

Beginning the replacement of power steering return hose requires that you lift and stabilize the vehicle. A technician should first remove the power steering gear heatshield before setting up a drain pan underneath the vehicle. First disconnect the power steering return hose from the power steering gear then remove its connection to Power Steering Pump. The first step should be to remove retainers securing the power steering return hose at the frame before taking out the hose from the vehicle. Position the new power steering return hose within the vehicle before attaching its retainers to the frame. Safely attach the hose to the Power Steering Pump following necessary service precautions before installing the power steering return hose at the power steering gear with a tight torque of 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). The repair ends with power steering gear heatshield reinstallation and vehicle lowering then power steering system bleeding before a final leak check.
