How to replace the Power Steering Hose on 2005 Buick LeSabre?

Vehicle elevation along with support must come first before starting this replacement task. Put a drain pan beneath your vehicle as you remove the steering gear heatshield. First detach the Power Steering Hose retainer from its engine frame mount at the gear before removing the power steering pressure hose from both the power steering gear and pump until the hose leaves the vehicle. The first step of installation requires attaching the power steering pressure hose to the vehicle with careful adherence to the fastener notice in service precautions. Tighten the hose to the Power Steering Pump at 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.) before securing it at the power steering gear with the same torque. Reinstall the Power Steering Hose retainer on the engine frame before securing the power steering pressure hose within the retainer then replace the steering gear heatshield. After vehicle lowering you should start the power steering system bleeding procedure.
