How to replace the front door hinge on 2004 Buick Regal?

Start by opening the door while supporting it at the front end of installation. Drill off the hinge bolts found on the intermediate part of the door before sliding out the door from the front pillar until it reaches its conduit limits. First clean the areas where the door hinges need to mount and use a grease pencil to mark the hinge spots. Pull the bolts out from the door side hinge after removing it completely. The body side door hinge requires attachment by a 13 mm bolt twice as well as a TORX(R) bolt and a single 10 mm bolt. A cone attached to the back side of the hinge might detach yet the adjustment process does not require removal of the cone. White the body pillar surface that accepts the hinge then place alignment marks at the hinge position. Before you can access the bolts of the body side hinge you must remove the front fender insulator but keep the cone adjuster bolt tight to prevent rattles. Separate the body side hinge by removing both 13 mm body side hinge bolts and the TORX(R) head body side hinge bolt. Use a combination of Locktite(R) Blue GM P/N 12345382 or Canadian P/N 10953489 or an equivalent product when installing the door side hinge bolts by tightening them to 33 N.m (24 lb ft). You must position the new body side hinge on the old marks before you put on the two 13 mm body side hinge bolts with 33 N.m (24 lb ft) torque followed by the TORX(R) head body side hinge bolt torque to 10 N.m (89 lb in). The intermediate door hinge bolts require a torque of 33 N.m (24 lb ft) during reinstallation before installation of the front fender insulator. Take away the door support, adjust the door position before shutting it.
