How to replace the front crankshaft seal on 2004 Cadillac CTS?

The replacement of the crankshaft front oil seal requires removal of the crankshaft drive gear first. Propagate a tiny pilot hole into the steel ring on the front of the crankshaft before using pliers to uninstall the crankshaft front oil seal. You must clean the area that requires sealing before beginning installation. The installation process requires complete and even seating of the crankshaft front oil seal while using the camshaft/front main seal installer (J35268-A) for proper tapping. The last task involves a return of the crankshaft drive gear.
