How to replace the Dipstick Tube and oil level indicator on 2004 Cadillac CTS?

The first step in tube and oil level indicator replacement involves removing the bolt that fixes the oil level indicator tube, coolant outlet pipe and engine front lift bracket to the Cylinder Head. Take the oil level indicator tube by its opening and extract it upward from the engine block before discarding its o-ring seals. Two new o-ring seals require engine oil lubrication before they can be positioned within the grooves of the oil level indicator tube. Replace the oil level indicator tube back into the engine block through its installation of a bolt which also secures the coolant outlet pipe along with the engine front lift bracket to the Cylinder Head. Tighten the oil level indicator tube bolt to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.).
