How to replace the emblem/nameplate on the door on 2004 Cadillac Seville?

Before working on the door emblem/nameplate apply tape for installation positioning and panel protection during removal. Heat the emblem/nameplate using the J 25070 Heat Gun model J 25070 for around 30 seconds while moving the tool in circular motions. Use a plastic tool to take off the emblem/nameplate from the panel proper surface. Clean the surface until all old adhesive is gone before installation. Use a 3M(TM) Scotch Brite molded adhesive disk (3M(TM) P/N 07502) for paint panels and a 3M(TM) P/N 07502 or equivalent for plastic one. Carefully clean and dry the targeted area before placing tape and drawing the placement marks for the front side door nameplate. Use the J 25070 (J 25070) to heat the installation surface to between 27-41°C (80-105°F) before placing on the refrigerated emblem/nameplate that needs a temperature range between 29-32°C (85-90°F). First remove the film from the adhesive back before placing the emblem/nameplate onto the location marks and pressing it evenly on top of the mounting surface. Take off the protective tape from the surface where you mount the item.
