To replace the Steering Knuckle, first lift the vehicle on a hoist and then remove tire and wheel assemblies. Next, pull the Tie Rod free from the Steering Knuckle and if equipped with abs, disconnect the abs elect. Connector. At first remove the hub and bearing assembly and then the three bolts and six nuts that hold the Steering Knuckle to the strut. Next, unlock the lower Ball Joint from the Steering Knuckle and pull the Steering Knuckle off the vehicle. For installation, plant the Steering Knuckle back on the vehicle and secure the lower Ball Joint. Tighten the Steering Knuckle to the strut by 3 bolts and 6 nuts turning the nuts to 180 n.m (133 lb ft). Reinstalling the hub and bearing assembly, reconnecting the abs electrical connector, attaching the Tie Rod onto the Steering Knuckle, and finally, reinstalling the tire and wheel. End with checking the front wheel alignment.
