A: Drivers should start by raising the vehicle after removing the left hand side lower close-out panel to access the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Pump. Detach all AIR pump hoses followed by disconnecting the electrical connector. Start by removing AIR pump mounting bolts (Wrench) from their bracket to extract the AIR pump from its position. Install the AIR pump in position first before tightening its mounting bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Connect the electrical AIR pump connector before reattaching the hoses. Finish the process by reinstalling the left side close-out panel then lower the vehicle while checking the AIR system works correctly.
