The first step to replace the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Pump requires lifting the vehicle while following all Vehicle Lifting safety measures. Start by removing the left-hand side lower close-out panel before unattaching the hoses and unconnecting the electrical connector of the AIR pump. To remove the AIR pump from its bracket users must take out the mounting bolts with a Wrench tool. Install and position the new AIR pump by using mounting bolts and tighten them to 80 lb in (9 N.m). To complete the repair you must insert the left-hand side close-out panel, lower the vehicle and verify the AIR system while restoring the AIR pump electrical connector and hoses.
