How to replace the rear door striker on the lower rear side access door on 2004 Chevrolet Express 1500?

The replacement of the lower rear side access door striker requires you to take out the bolts securing the door lock striker to the door opening followed by removal of the door lock striker itself. As the next step install the new door lock striker into the door opening while consulting the service precautions for fasteners and after that install bolts to lock the door lock striker in position. The retaining bolts should be tightened to 10 N.m (89 lb in) torque.
