How to replace the window regulator in the end gate on 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Begin end gate window regulator replacement by opening the end gate and removing its regulator bolt access plugs. Start by removing the end gate trim panel followed by end gate inner panel reinforcement before taking off the end gate window. First drain the regulator by unscrewing its end gate retaining bolt before removing the nuts that join the regulator rails to the end gate. First slide the regulator side rails up and out of the keyhole slots in the gate to detach the regulator. Separate the electrical connector from the regulator and pull the regulator assembly through the access hole. To install the regulator assembly let it enter the end gate through the access hole before connecting the electrical connector to the window regulator. Tighten the regulator side rail nuts into their keyhole slots to 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Tighten the bolt which retains the regulator motor bracket to the end gate with 10 N.m (89 lb in) torque. Reinstall the end gate window before readjusting it for fore/aft direction and cross-car and up/down position. After finishing with the regulator bolt access plugs installation you should complete end gate window learn cycle.
