Window Regulator, Rear Driver Side

Starting to replace the rear side door Window Regulator requires users to first take off door trim panel together with water deflector and then disconnect the speaker. Before commencing work on the regulator window carrier bolts start by lifting and supporting the window. First disconnect the electrical connector from the regulator motor before removing the 3 bolts (W706202) to disassemble the Window Regulator assembly from the door. Then take out the Window Regulator assembly itself. Insert the Window Regulator assembly into the door opening while installing the 3 bolts (W706202) according to 10 n.m (89 lb in) of torque. After connecting the electrical connector to the regulator motor you can take out the window support while lowering the window onto the regulator window carrier. Secure the regulator window carrier bolts lightly then open the window to its highest position while maintaining it inside the channels before tightening these bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reinstall the speaker followed by the water deflector then put back the door trim panel.

The first step to replace the rear door Window Regulator on trailblazer and envoy and bravada involves removing the door trim panel then subsequently removing the water deflector and speaker. Beginning the Window Regulator replacement process requires loosening the carrier bolts before lifting and supporting the window. First disconnect the electrical connector from the regulator motor then unscrew the 3 bolts to take out the Window Regulator assembly from the door structure. Place the Window Regulator assembly into the door unit then install the 3 retaining bolts while tightening them to 10 n.m (88 lb in). Reinstall the electrical connector to the motor of the regulator before you detach the support and guide the window down onto its carrier. After positioning the regulator window carrier bolts at a loose torque, move the window until it reaches its fullest vertical extension into run channels before torquing them to 10 n.m (88 lb in). The completion steps require reattachment of the speaker together with the water deflector and door trim panel.

You need to start your replacement of the rear side door Window Regulator by taking out the door trim panel along with both water deflector and speaker. Open the regulator window carrier bolts before lifting and sustaining the window in position. The first step is to disconnect the electrical connector at the regulator motor before loosening 3 bolts (part number 123456) which holds the Window Regulator assembly inside the door. Finalize the process by removing the assembly itself. Install the new Window Regulator assembly into its door position while tightening the 3 bolts (part number 123456) to 10 n.m (89 lb in). The regulator motor gets its electrical connector now followed by removing the window support so window lowering onto the regulator window carrier becomes possible. Loosen the regulator window carrier bolts first and then run the window to its highest point inside the channels before torquing the bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Complete the process by returning the speaker and water deflector along with door trim panel.

Install the water deflector, speaker, and door trim panel.

Partially install the upper 2 bolts to the regulator assembly, then insert the regulator assembly through the door opening in a semi-horizontal position, fully position it forward into the door cavity, and rotate it to a vertical position.

Install the bolt that retains the regulator motor bracket to the endgate and tighten it to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Reinstall the end gate window and adjust it fore/aft, cross car, and up/down as needed.

Lower and hang the assembly onto the door sheet metal using the previously installed upper 2 bolts.

Remove the water deflector and the speaker.

Loosen the bolts that secure the window regulator to the inner panel at the keyhole slot locations, then remove the remaining fasteners holding the window regulator to the inner panel. Lift the window regulator up and out of the keyhole slots, then remove it through the access hole.

Remove the remaining 3 bolts securing the window regulator assembly and motor to the door, then lift the regulator assembly upward to release the upper 2 bolts and rotate the upper portion forward.

Loosen the upper 2 bolts retaining the regulator assembly to the door, then remove the remaining 3 bolts securing the window regulator assembly and motor. Lift the regulator assembly upward to release the upper 2 bolts, rotate the upper portion of the assembly forward, and remove the assembly through the door opening.

Loosen the regulator window carrier bolts and raise and support the window.

Tighten the motor bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
