2005 Buick Century Wheel Bearing Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the rear wheel bearing and hub assembly on 2005 Buick Century?
A: When the rear Wheel Hub bearing breaks solely for replacement of the entire hub assembly including the bearing. Support the vehicle from above before you remove the wheels and tires. Now take out the brake rotor to access the Wheel Bearing hub. Take off the abs electrical connector from Wheel Speed Sensor when present and remove the park brake cable from the actuator. You need to slide out both mounting bolts behind the bearing and hub to extract the Wheel Bearing/hub and park brake system from the knuckle. After that, unfix the park brake actuator from the rear Wheel Bearing/hub. The park brake actuator should be attached to the rear Wheel Bearing/hub first before putting the Wheel Bearing/hub and park brake assembly onto the knuckle. Put the Wheel Bearing hub bolts in place and tighten them to 75 nm (55 ft. Lbs.). Reconnect the park brake cable to its actuator. After attaching the abs electrical connector to Wheel Speed Sensor plug the brake rotor into position then put on tires and wheels before driving down.
