    Q:
How to Replace a Rear Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub Assembly on Buick Regal? Posted by Customer
    A:
You need to lift and stabilize the vehicle before proceeding. The wheel bearing and hub in the rear wheel come as one non-repairable unit so you need to replace both when these parts become damaged. Start by taking off the tires and wheels after that disconnect the brake rotor. Pull off the abs electrical connector from Wheel Speed Sensor and take out the park brake cable from its actuator when needed. Lift the car before disconnecting the rear bearing/hub bolts and sliding out the wheel bearing/hub and park brake assembly from the knuckle. Last, remove the park brake actuator from the wheel bearing/hub. To assemble the system place the park brake actuator onto the rear wheel bearing then position the wheel bearing with parked brake set up on the knuckle before tightening wheel bearing-to-knuckle bolts at 75 n.m torque. Connect the park brake cable back to the actuator followed by connecting the abs electrical connector to the Wheel Speed Sensor when available. Place the brake rotor back into position and refit all wheels and tires before lowering the vehicle.

    Q:
How to Replace a Non-Serviceable Rear Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub with Drum Brakes on Buick Regal? Posted by Customer
    A:
Raise your vehicle and secure it during the work to replace both drum brake components together. The entire nonserviceable rear wheel hub unit with the inside wheel bearing runs as one assembly so you need to replace the entire hub and bearing piece if it breaks. Start by taking off the Brake Drum and following up with removing the abs electrical connector if the Wheel Speed Sensor exists on your vehicle. Separate the bearing and hub from the vehicle after you take out the bolts that hold them in place. Place the bearing/hub unit on the vehicle and secure the mounting bolts at 75 n.m (55 lb ft). Connect the abs electrical connector back to the speed sensor if present while fitting the Brake Drum then lowering the vehicle.

    Q:
How to Replace a Rear Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub on Drum Brakes on Buick Regal? Posted by Customer
    A:
To repair the rear wheel bearing hub, raise and secure the vehicle properly first. A complete replacement of the hub and bearing unit is necessary when wheel bearings in the rear wheel hub stop working. Unbolt the Brake Drum from its position before disconnecting the abs sensor connection to the Wheel Speed Sensor. First you need to detach all bearing/hub bolts then take out the assembly from its position. Install the bearing/hub unit onto the vehicle after proper positioning then torque the bearing/hub bolts to 75 n.m (55 lb-ft). Reconnect the abs electrical connector to the Wheel Speed Sensor if supplied and set the Brake Drum back in place. Finally put the vehicle down to its normal position.

    Q:
How is the rear wheel hub and bearing assembly replaced if the wheel bearing is damaged on Chevrolet Impala? Posted by Customer
    A:
The combined wheel bearing and hub unit at the back cannot be serviced separately because you must replace the entire piece when this part breaks. Start by lifting the vehicle to its proper height then take off both tires and wheels. Start by taking off the rear caliper and bracket system then take away the brake rotor part. Disconnect the abs electronic connection from the Wheel Speed Sensor while you remove the wheel hub-to-knuckle bolts of the rear wheel. Pull out the rear hub component park brake system from its position and extract the parking brake lever bracket as well as the parking brake actuator . Attach the parking brake lever bracket and parking brake actuator before connecting the rear wheel hub and park brake assembly to its knuckle using new rear wheel hub-to-knuckle bolts which need to be tightened to 75 nm (55 ft. Lbs.). Plug in the abs electrical connector to the Wheel Speed Sensor and put the Wheel Speed Sensor in place before adding the brake rotor. After finishing all other installations you can put the tires and wheels on and lower the vehicle.
