How to replace the ABS Control Module on 2005 Buick LaCrosse?

Before beginning replacement of the ABS Control Module (ABSCM) users must switch the ignition to OFF. Begin by eliminating the fuel injector sight shield that belongs to the 3.8L engine in addition to the front fender upper diagonal brace alongside the air cleaner intake duct. You should disconnect the harness by removing the ABSCM harness connector's locking tab. The assembly requires cleaning from any present dirt or debris before the 6 ABSCM to BPMV retaining bolt/screws need removal. The ABSCM separation from BPMV should proceed with care while maintaining structural integrity of the BPMV surface as well as solenoid valves. To uninstall the ABSCM disconnect its pump motor connector that resides at its bottom section. To reinstall, join the pump motor connector to the ABSCM before installing the ABSCM onto the BPMV using its 6 retaining bolt/screws which should be tightened to 2.9 Nm (26 inch lbs.). Reinstall the ABSCM harness connector after you fix the locking tab in place. You should reinstall the air cleaner intake duct and the front fender upper diagonal brace and the fuel injector sight shield for the 3.8L engine. The ignition should be put to RUN mode before trying the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle test.
