How to replace the ABS Control Module on 2006 Buick LaCrosse?

The replacement of ABS Control Module requires the ignition to be set to OFF. Before replacing the ABS Control Module on the 3.8L engine start by taking out the fuel injector sight shield together with the front fender upper diagonal brace and air cleaner intake duct. Use a finger to pull the locking tab from the ABS Control Module harness connector and after proceed with harness removal. A thorough cleaning must precede the removal process for retaining bolt/screws that secure the 6 ABS Control Module to brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV). The proper method to handle ABS Control Module and BPMV separation requires processor disconnection without the use of force to prevent damage to BPMV or solenoid components. Connect the pump motor connector at the bottom of the ABS Control Module then assemble the ABS Control Module onto the BPMV and screw in retaining bolt/screws to 2.9 Nm (26 inch lbs.).
