How to Replace a Brake Light Switch on 2005 Buick LeSabre?

You must detach the left sound insulator to replace the stop lamp switch. Unscrew and pull out the stop lamp/ABS/shift lock switch counterclockwise before disconnecting its electrical connector. Insert the stop lamp switch into the retainer so it automatically aligns in the fully locked position because twist lock type switches need no manual adjustments. Press the switch into its slot until the plunger fully enters the switch barrel and rotate the switch button clockwise until it gets locked into place. Attain the stop lamp/ABS/shift lock switch electrical connector and join it to the stop lamp switch. Afterwards adjust the stop lamp switch settings as necessary. Finally, reinstall the sound insulator.
