First take out the left sound insulator to replace the stop lamp switch. Following that, rotate the stop lamp/ ABS / shift lock switch counterclockwise and pull it, then unplug the electrical connector from the switch. When installing, make sure that the stop lamp switch is indeed self-adjusting after it has been fit into the place and after going fully secured by the twist lock type switch that needs no further adjustments. Mount the stop lamp switch in to the retainer pressing it down until the plunger of the switch is fully depressed into the switch barrel. Give a quick half turn to the switch in a clockwise fashion until it secures firmly in position. Lastly, connect the stop lamp/ABS/shift lock switch electrical connector to the stop lamp switch and install the sound insulator.
