How to replace the power seat switch on 2005 Buick LeSabre?

The replacement of the power seat switch begins with disabling the SIR system. Follow this procedure to access the power seat switch by removing the seat cushion while avoiding removal of the lumbar switch knob which might break. Obtain the knobs by carefully using a flat-bladed tool for removing them. The Door Trim Pad Clip Remover (J 38778) allows removal of push-in retainers beneath the seat cushion frame before the power seat switch bezel can be taken off. The seat cushion cover attains access to the power seat switch bracket by removing the J channel retainers that secure it to the seat cushion frame. To extract the power seat switch bracket use the Door Trim Pad Clip Remover (J 38778) upon removing all push-in fasteners from the bracket. Then proceed to remove the combination of power seat switch and bracket from the seat cushion frame. Unplug electrical connectors from power seat switches then detach the switch from the bracket by using a flat-bladed tool. You should begin by putting power seat switches into their corresponding switch brackets before reattaching the wiring harness and connecting electrical connectors to power seat switches. Place the bracket with integrated switches upwards into the seat cushion framework until it is secure with retainers and finish by aligning holes in the seat cushion cover. The power seat switch bezel should go on top of the switches before installing their fasteners. To complete the installation you should install the power seat switch knobs then put back the seat cushion and activate the SIR system.
