  A: Start by shutting off ignition then take out the fuel injector sight shield before you begin. Start by taking the ignition cable (2, 4, 6) from the spark plugs at the engine's rear while keeping track of their original positions. Crank the ignition cable boot a 1/2 turn counterclockwise before taking it off then use the Spark Plug boot removal tool (J 38491) to gently lift the heat shield from the spark plugs. Starting with the front spark plugs, remove the cables (1, 3, 5) from their connections then remove the heat shields with the same tool. Once Ignition Coil cables are taken off, install a procedure to extract ignition cable retaining clips from back and front and top engine sides followed by removing the cables from engine blocks. During ignition cable installation keep all needed hardware such as boot heat shields and retaining clips and wire conduit systems. Position the new ignition cables on the engine before installing retaining clips and connecting cables to the Ignition Coil and securing cables (1, 3, 5) at the front and (2, 4, 6) at the rear of the engine. Reinstall the fuel injector sight shield as your final step.
