How to replace the Blend Door Actuator on 2005 Buick Rendezvous?

Start by eliminating the knee bolster then select the vehicle's vent defroster mode to free the defroster door lever for replacement access. Begin by disassembling the hvac module by removing the temperature door lever bolt then unplug and detach the temperature door lever spring followed by disconnecting and removing the temperature door lever from the temperature door. First detach the air temperature actuator electrical connection then remove its mounting screws before extracting the air temperature actuator. Before installation begin by mounting the new air temperature actuator while tightening its screws to 1.6 n.m (14 lb in). The temperature door lever must be installed onto the door with the air temperature actuator pin properly aligned into its slot. Next install the air temperature actuator electrical connector. Secure the temperature door lever spring to the lever afterward attaching it to the hvac module case before inserting and correctly tightening the temperature door lever bolt to 0.9 n.m (8 lb in). The knee bolster should be reinstalled while completing actuator recalibration steps.
