Begin replacing the Proportioning Valve by reading all Brake Fluid safety information before working with it. First find where all brake pipes are connected to start installation efficiently and disconnect them without damaging the proportion valve. After detaching each Master Cylinder pipe from the valve you must unscrew its hardware to release the mounting bracket and remove the proportion valve. Secure the proportion valve onto its bracket first, lock it with retaining nuts while tightening them to 10 Nm (84 inch lbs.). Fit brake hose ends onto the proportion valve and tighten them to 15 Nm while also connecting the brake lines to the valve with fittings tightened to 21 Nm. After finishing all steps you need to exhaust brake fluid from the system.
