The replacement of the shock module starts by raising and supporting the vehicle followed by tire and wheel removal. The first step involves breaking the upper Control Arm to Steering Knuckle pinch bolt and nut before severing the upper Ball Joint from the Steering Knuckle. Drain the shock module lower mounting bolts from the vehicle before lowering it down. The air conditioning line retaining nut needs detachment from the shock tower before moving the air conditioning line bracket out of the way. Crews should unfasten the shock module upper mounting bolts then extract the shock module from the automobile interior. The shock module installation requires inserting the assembly into the vehicle before securing it with upper mounting bolts which need to be tightened to 112 nm (83 ft. Lbs.). Install the position the air conditioning line retaining nut to the stud then tighten it to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). Reposition the vehicle to a higher position while securing the shock module lower mounting bolts with a tightness of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the upper Ball Joint on the Steering Knuckle then add the upper Control Arm to Steering Knuckle pinch bolt and nut and torque the bolt to 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.). Lower the vehicle and reinstall the tire combined with wheel.
