The technician should mount the outer tie rod to the inner tie rod but leave the jam nut loose for now. Maintain the same number of turns originally used for removal. Fasten the outer tie rod onto the Steering Knuckle before you tighten its specific retaining nut to 70 nm (52 ft. Lbs.). Place the tire followed by the wheel on the vehicle before lowering it to adjust the front toe.
