How to replace the steering wheel on 2005 Cadillac CTS?

In order to remove the discussed component, one should initially switch off the SIR system. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module and unplug the steering column electric connector. Secondly, tie down the steering wheel retaining nut. Mount the J 42578 (Steering Wheel Puller Legs) and J 1859-A (Steering Wheel Puller) on the steering wheel and utilize the tools to remove the steering wheel. For installation, install the steering wheel placing it back and make sure that you install the steering wheel retaining nut and tighten the same to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Reconnect the steering column electrical connection and install the inflator module prior to turning on the SIR system.
