You should remove the tension on the Radiator inlet hose clamp at the Radiator using hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to disconnect the hose from the Radiator. The engine will require the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to disengage tension on the Radiator inlet hose clamp before removing the engine attachment. Remove the Radiator inlet hose. Perform installation of new hoses only after aligning reference marks on the hoses with the Radiator to prevent damaging the fittings that may result in cracking or breaking. Before installing the Radiator inlet hose on the engine apply clean coolant inside its diameters. Next install the hose by connecting it to the engine system. Follow this sequence to replace the inlet hose using hose clamp pliers (J 38185): first secure inlet clamp tension at the engine then attach the hose to the Radiator and finally lock the clamp at the Radiator with pliers again. The cooling system requires reinstallation of the air cleaner assembly before completing the process.
